A: This obviously depends on what you charge. If you’re starting out, you might only be charging around $40 per hour, but there are some copywriters in Sydney who charge over $200. It all depends on your experience and skill level.

A: Search engines use lots of different factors to decide their rankings. They send out ‘bots’ or ‘spiders’ to ‘crawl’ your website and analyse it. Each search engine has it’s own complex algorithm and are constantly updated.

A: I haven’t completed any copywriting courses and so can’t recommend any. Sorry!
A: I’d recommend all copywriters to spend some time working in an advertising agency. You’ll get to work on great brands and learn the various processes involved. To get into agencies, try sending in your CV, call them or camp outside their offices.
