Toon’s Top Five Webby Bits This Week

0

A collection of things I’ve found interesting in the last few days of being a web beast.

1)    Photoshop Tutorials

I’ve been meaning to do some proper Photoshop tutorials for a long time and these ones look pretty good:http://dzineblog.com/article/tutorials

2)    Top five tips for writing well

A well-written article which uses Ernest Hemingway’s advice to guide you in copywriting prowess:

3)    More top tips for SEO copywriting

Everyone has their own ideas about the best ways to write perfect SEO copy (read mine here) Some additional thoughts from another SEO group:

4)    Super groovy site

Apart from the annoying little flash intro (why do people still do those?) This site is visually just LOVELY. You can use it to track the number of eggs being eaten, bikes being built, the time in Tanzania and that frightening facts like ‘in the last second the world consumed 40,000 gallons of oil’. There’s a screen saver and widget to download and I love the sexy voice over:

5)    The truth about client relationships

Ah so painfully, horribly true! I will send this link to all my new clients from now on:

    Hey Kate,

Thanks for the useful direction to the photoshop tutorial sites. There was also a (silly) bonus or me: It seems that (as the most appreciate five worlds in the English language) “There are no more messages” have been overtaken by “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet”. Just another way cyberspace is overtaking reality?
    Best regards.
