Best Australian Blogs 2013

Best Australian BlogsSo I’ve just entered the Best Australian Blogs 2013 Competition, which is a bit brave isn’t it?  I’m pretty sure I haven’t got a cat in hell’s chance, but you’ve got to give these things a pop, right?

I’ve entered in the Business category, pitching myself as a provider of useful advice and tips relating to copywriting and SEO. My point of difference being my non-geek and faintly humourous approach to business and all things interwebby.

The Business category is aimed at business owners, marketing managers and professional community coordinators. Blogging to build a community and promote an online business is a unique challenge facing businesses today. This category celebrates the blogs that communicate their expertise, workplace culture and industry well.
The winner will receive

  • $1500 worth of writing courses at the Australian Writers’ Centre
  • $1000 in cash
  • A one-hour mentoring session with Brandon Van Over, managing editor at Random House, to discuss publishing a book based on their blog or any other writing projects the blogger wishes to discuss.
  • $500 worth of books from Random House.

As you can imagine, I’d kind of wee myself if I won that haul of awesomeness. So I’m crossing my fingers and my buttocks!

Finalists will be announced on Tuesday 23 April 2013.

You can help me win!

I’ve also entered the People’s Choice round that launches on Thursday 28 March 2013.

Soon I’ll be badgering you to start click-voting on my blog. (Voting opens on 28 April 2013 at 5pm
